Agile - Import - Data Load Guide
The attached document explains how to use the data load form (Excel
document) which is used to load part data to be loaded into Agile.
The format of the data in these sheets is important
otherwise the Agile import will fail OR the data will be erroneously entered
into Agile. In some errors the data
cannot be corrected in Agile after it has been loaded.
This is only for loading legacy part
data into Agile. All new parts must be
created through the user interface, to ensure that the correct part numbering
is applied.
The Data Load Excel document
Each worksheet in the data load form represents an object
type to be loaded into Agile e.g. Manufacturer. Each column in that sheet
represents a field in that object type in Agile. Some of these object fields in Agile are
compulsory (column names in red), others are not.
The column names are important for training documentation
and should not be changed.
The format of the data in the Excel sheet is important so
that Agile can recognise the content or because of business rules in
Agile/Oracle ERP.
This Data Load Form will be maintained to contain all
objects and fields to be loaded into Agile. This will be the master file, so if there are any errors discovered,
then this file will be modified so that the next data load works error free.
