When attempting to create a document using Oracle WebADI, you see this in Excel
The reason being that when prompted by Microsoft Edge, you selected 'Open' instead of 'Save'
Solution
Please follow the steps below to successfully create a WebADI template:
Login to Oracle using Microsoft Edge browser.
- Navigate to the 'Web ADI' -> 'Create Document' menu
- Select 'Excel 2007' in the dropdown and click the Next button
- Select 'General Ledger - Journals' in the dropdown and click the Next button
- Select 'Domino ADI Journals' in the dropdown and click the Next button
- Select 'None' in the dropdown and click the Next button
- Click the 'Create Document' button
- When prompted by Microsoft Edge, click 'SAVE' then 'Open' to open the Excel file
- The Web ADI template should now load in Excel and the macro loads without error messages.
- In the Download Confirmation window, click the 'Close' button
