If you accidentally delete or overwrite a file from a share on the file server, do not panic!  Follow the steps below to restore/recover the file.



In Windows File Explorer, browse to the file location.


Right-click on the file name and select Properties from the menu.


Next, click on the Previous Versions tab


This will display a list of files with their modified date as below:



Select the file for the relevant date/time, click Restore  
PLEASE NOTE this will overwrite the existing file, so you may want to rename it first or in the Previous Version option select "Open" instead of "Restore" to check the file is the correct version.
