When opening downloaded CSV files in Excel, they do not open correctly and data within isn't displayed as expected.

This is due to regional Excel settings that have default list separator options where files will either be read with a comma separator or semicolon separator.  In Europe, the default is for the semicolon to be a delimiter instead of a comma.

Follow the steps below to change the settings:

Search for Control Panel

Select the View by option to Small icons

Click Region

On the Formats tab, click Additional Settings

On the Numbers tab, select the drop down box next to List Separator to change it from a comma to a semi-colon

Click Apply

Click OK

Click OK on the Region window.

Open the CSV file in Excel and it should display as expected.
