We are aware that users have previously been able to install Solidworks using the .hta file in the network share \\ukbh-wnas-sw1\SOLIDWORKS Admin\SOLIDWORKS 2021 SP5.0.
However the new Windows 11 devices don't permit this to run, but we do have a working solution.
Launch PowerShell and run as administrator
At the prompt, type in Set-Location "\\ukbh-wnas-sw1.emea.dps.local\SOLIDWORKS Admin\SOLIDWORKS 2023 SP5.0"
(depending on which version the user requires, the path after SOLIDWORKS Admin may be SOLIDWORKS 2021 SP5.0)
You will notice that the location has changed for the next Powershell prompt.
Type in .\StartSWInstall.hta
Press enter
The Solidworks installer window should appear for the user to continue with the install as normal.
